Celebrating friendship with Campo Viejo
I always get a lot of questions, asking me how Viktoria and I became friends and whether we’ve known each other for a long time. So here’s the truth: we actually met through Instagram 🙂 I know a lot of people might think it’s weird to find friends through social media, but the truth is, I moved to Munich from Italy about three years ago and I didn’t know anyone here. So I thought “why not meet some of the people I’ve been following for months or even years on Instagram. Kinda feels like I know them already”. Plus we were both law students and living in the same area, so it seemed like the perfect fit. And indeed, it was! We went for lunch one afternoon in October 2015 and became inseparable ever since. We have the same career plans, share the same sense of humour and the same hobbies/interests. And btw, Viktoria is not the only girlfriend that came with Instagram. I have met so many other lovely girls…and I am glad to call some of them very good friends now. And let’s be honest, friends are really important when you move far away from home to start a new life.
So I thought it was about time to celebrate these friendships with a spontaneous and cozy home party. The winter months are so cold and dull here in Germany, why not make them a little more colourful and vibrant?! 🙂 Because we cannot change the grey weather, but we can definitely change the spirit of an evening.
The ingredients of our night were very simple: a few close friends, good music, tasty Mediterranean snacks and our favourite fruity red wine by Campo Viejo. I always like to choose different wines depending on the occasion and this deep-red coloured Rioja seemed perfect for a casual and friendly get-together. Campo Viejo stands for passion, energy and authenticity and their new campaign #LiveUncorked is all about crafty and inspirational winter nights.
I hope this will inspire you to celebrate the magic of winter with your nearest and dearest!
Cheers to friendship, because “friends are the people who know all about you and still like you” 😉
