Most instagrammable places in Amsterdam

as I´ve just returned from Amsterdam I thought I´d share my favourite and, of course, most instragammable places from the Dutch capital with you!
So here you go:
1. MOST INSTAGRAMMABLE HOTEL
Definitely the Pulitzer! This gorgeous boutique hotel with a rich historical background is located right on the Prinsengracht, overlooking the picturesque waters of Amsterdam. It occupies 25 old houses, amongst which some where formerly the homes to flamboyant Dutch aristrocrats, while others were used as wearhouses. Its location is super central and close to many attractions, such as the Dam Square, the Royal Palace, the Rijksmuseum and the red light district. From the moment you walk inside the lobby, you’ll be struck by the hotel’s interior, which brings together history and colourful urban design. The rooms combine a cozy feeling with modern amenities and some of them (like ours) offer beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows with a view over the canal. We also got the sweetest welcome gifts: Dutch waffles, fresh berries, macarons and two matching pink pyjamas, how adorable is that?!
The Pulitzer also has a trendy restaurant (Jansz) and two bars. The Pulitzer’s Bar is definitely a classic. With its luxurious leather lounges and dark, mysterious atmosphere it is perfect for a date OR a delicious cocktail and a chat with friends. On the contrary the restaurant, Jansz, is much more easygoing and laid back. We always enjoyed our breakfast there, which was amazing! Everything was included, EVEN á la carte orders. The buffet offers a rich selection of fruits, cheese, fish, ham and every sweet Dutch and French specialty you could ask for. We especially loved the banana pancakes (OMG) and the eggs benedict.
Another lovely service at the Pulitzer is that you can borrow their elegant bikes – FOR FREE! So much nicer than those horrible bikes they give you at those bike renting places!!
2. MOST INSTAGRAMMABLE FOOD
Amsterdam is literally FULL of gorgeous and instagrammable food spots!! And it’s not just the places that are pretty: The food is pretty amazing, too!
Our three favourites were:
BENJI’S: A green oasis full of plants and flowers right in the middle of town. You will want to get EVERYTHING from the menu (actually, we almost did) and the best part is, most of it is super healthy (ok, maybe not those buttery Belgian waffles, but who cares 😛 ). My favs were the salmon avocado teriyaki and the granola bowl.
MAMA KELLY: This is for true pink-lovers only 🙂 It is a restaurant, bar and club at the same time and the menu is super easy: it’s basically chicken or lobster. The industrial yet girly interior is perfect for picture taking and the food is actually MUCH better than we were expecting from a „flashy“ place like this. In fact, the steak tartare, the burrata and the Mama’s favourite (a main course to share, with chicken and lobster) were all utterly delicious. And the two desserts (cheesecake and chocolate cake with caramel sauce) were amongst the best I´ve ever had!
POLABERRY: This little shop is right across the street from the Pulitzer and offers all sorts of delicacies made of chocolate. From chocolate covered strawberries, to beautifully handmade chocolate bars and pretty little cake-sticks.
3. MOST INSTAGRAMMABLE PLACES
And now let’s get to the most important part: the best locations to take good pictures! Actually, all of Amsterdam is very photogenic, so you won’t have a hard time finding the perfect photo-spot.
Our favourite places were the Prinsengracht, the Spiegelgracht and these cute houses in the red light district.
